Hunting Guidelines and General Information

If the outfitter is to supply rifles for the client this will be at a fee of 50 per rifle or shotgun per day. The client will be held liable for any damages incurred to the rifle or scope due to negligence on the client's part. Bullets/ cartridges are at cost.

Minimum calibers:

  • Small species like Duiker, Springbok .243 Win (6,2mm)

  • Medium species like Kudu, Red Hartebeest, 270 Win / 7x 64 / 7mm Remington

  • Large species like Eland, Zebra, Wildebeest minimum 300 Win Mag or Bigger

  • Big five / dangerous game, minimum required 300 Win Mag375 H&H or larger. (depending on the animal hunted)

  • Bow Hunters are welcome
Hunting-guidelines

Bows

Bows are to be minimum 60lb draw weight, and a minimum arrow speed 220fps with grains Including 90 grain broad head. Mechanical broad heads are not recommended. Please bring your own bow and equipment.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  • All Prices exclude Taxidemist work, Transport and Taxes. Guests will be advised on the rate,
  • Guests will ensure that they have enough funds to cover any additional costs like Animals hunted or activities, before departure. 
  • Any animals shot, wounded and lost are to be paid for, at the full price.
  • Your stay and activities will be entirely at your own risk
  • No hunting without a guide accompanying the hunter is allowed. Hunting is on a base of walk and stalk or ambush.
  • Driven hunt or hunt of a vehicle for senior citizens or handicapped hunters can be offered.
  • If the outfitter supplies hunting rifles to The Hunter, a fee of R500.00 per day will be Charged per rifle per day. The hunter is responsible FOR ALL damage incurred on borrowed equipment.
  • If you bring your own Rifle and ammunition, the relevant procedures from South African Police Services must be strictly followed. Support will be provided.

 
**NB**with regard to SAPS ammunition and rifle import permits please complete the form carefully in order to avoid long delays at the airport.
 

  1. Obtain an export permit from your local authorities.
  2. Forward the necessary signed documentation to our address
  3. We will on your behalf obtain the local required paperwork.

Deposits and Cancellations :

Deposit:

50% Deposit of the whole Safari package is required to secure your booking before your Safari. 100% Deposit for reservations scheduled 3 months in advance or less.


Cancellation:

6 months before your Safari: The full deposit will be refunded.

Between 6 months and 90 Days before your Safari: 50% of the deposit will be refunded.

Less than 90 Days before your Safari: No deposit will be refunded. 

Insurance & liability:

Insurance is recommended for travel, Medical, Baggage and any personal effects. We accept no liability for any accidents or damage to person or equipment. An indemnity form must be signed by each guest on arrival.
